Coast of Jamaica Candle Company is the result of a desire to create a feel-good vibe in every home through Scent. Inspired by the tropical and aquatic aromas of Jamaica, Coast of Jamaica allows you to travel through your senses and experience a virtual Getaway right from the comfort of your home. 

 

Coast of Jamaica is inspired by nature which is why we chose to use soy wax because it burns cleaner with no petrol carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles, it burns longer, it supports American farmers, it's biodegradable which makes spills easier to clean, and it stimulates the economy by utilizing a natural, renewable resource. From our cotton and wooden wicks to our packaging and materials, we strive to become a eco-friendly brand which helps the environment. Our vessels are made to be repurposed. Once the wax is all gone, clean your jars and use it for planting succulents, to storing small items, etc.

 

 Born in Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica; Novelette, the creator of Coast of Jamaica started making candles as a hobby and therapeutic venture after loosing her home to a fire caused by a container-less candle in 2011 one Christmas morning. She turned lemons into lemonade and created her own candle company in January of 2015. Novelette wanted to create a unique line of candles that will give everyone the experience to mentally escape through scent and to promote wellness and Self-Care . After She mastered the craft of candle making, she began passing them out to friends and family as gifts or for any reason what so ever. Soon she was getting requests from friends and family for more and the rest is history. 

 

The learning has been exciting, thus trenchant, but fun. She wishes to continue experimenting with creative blends and natures' finds to give you scents that you haven't already experienced.

 

It's been her true pleasure watching people acknowledge their inner nature, adventure and wild life through the magic she creates.

Each collection starts with a story. A place, an idea, etc. Then that story is formed into a vessel. All of our vessels, even our packaging started as a gift from nature and then shaped into a décor piece for your home.

We work with all natural concrete and ceramic vessels. We are an eco friendly brand all around even down to the natural soy wax we use and eco-friendly packaging.

Each candle is made to order and hand poured in a small studio in Los Angeles, where we blend the soy wax , natural fragrance oils & cotton or wooden wicks.  Eco-friendly, clean-burning, wooden wicks made from FSC Certified Wood, hand-crafted + made in the USA.
